Step 10: Staying Current

Step 10 — Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.

Perseverance. I kept taking inventory day by day, and when I was wrong I said so fast.

Steps four through nine cleaned up the past; step ten keeps the mess from rebuilding. It's a daily rhythm: watch for resentment, selfishness, dishonesty, and fear as they happen — and settle accounts the same day, not next decade. The Review Your Day tool below is your step ten in three minutes a night. The streak counter isn't a gimmick; showing up daily is literally the step.

What working Step 10 looks like

These are the reflection questions 1more24 asks you at this step. The answers underneath are written examples — one person's, invented for this page.

When will your daily review happen, and what will remind you? Anchor it to something you already do every night.

Right after I put my phone on the charger, which is already the last thing I do. Ten minutes, in bed, before anything else. Any later and I'll skip it — I know that about myself by now.

Invented, not anyone's real writing — and it couldn't be. Every member's journal is encrypted with their own password, so this application cannot read a single word of it.

Working Step 10, not just reading it

1more24 gives this step a private journal, reflection questions written for it, and a companion who knows where you are in the work. Everything you write is encrypted with your own password — nobody else can read it, not even us. Free and open to all.
